Mijas offers a diverse gastronomic scene that reflects the rich culinary traditions of Andalusia and the Mediterranean coast. Some of the staples are seafood, Andalucian tapas and traditional dishes, various versions of paella, lovely Spanish wines, but also international cuisine in many restaurants. Many restaurants in Mijas Pueblo offer stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the picturesque town. For a great experience, remember to embrace the local customs of dining, such as enjoying a leisurely meal and savoring the flavors of Andalusia.
A variety of sports and recreational activities are available for both residents and visitors to enjoy: golf, hiking, cycling, watersports, tennis and padel, horseback riding, fitness and wellness.
Malaga boasts a rich cultural heritage and is home to a variety of museums that cater to different interests.
